For the installation and testing of the metering pump, the hotel worked closely with Henrik Lundgren from Gothia AquaTec, a specialist company that manages and maintains public and hotel pools and a long-standing technical partner of ProMinent.

The aim at the Sankt Jörgen Park Resort is to offer guests a spa experience that combines safety, comfort and pure relaxation every day. To achieve this, the water in the pools and wellness areas must always be clean and hygienically impeccable. The precise metering of disinfectants and flocculants is particularly important to ensure that the water remains crystal clear and the staff can concentrate on their work.

Solution

To meet these demands, the Swedish wellness resort replaced its previous pumps with five new diaphragm metering pumps beta/ X from ProMinent -three for chlorine metering for disinfection and two for flocculants, which bind dirt particles and create crystal-clear water.

Henrik Lundgren, who has over 20 years of experience in pool technology and water treatment, highlights the practical benefits for daily operations:

“I’ve really appreciated the NFC function, being able to easily read the pump’s settings with my phone. I also like that the pump offers a wider metering range, up to 50 litres per hour with just four variants. For us in operations, that means we don’t have to change the liquid end when we need to adjust the capacity.”

He also notes the straightforward handling of the new beta/ X:

“The pump is very compact with only the most essential functions available through a clear, visual display. It’s not complicated at all, rather, it’s very simple and easy to understand and work with.”

Sustainability also plays a role: the beta/ X is made of recyclable materials and meters chemicals accurately – saving the hotel resources and chemicals.
